ISS 2017 is the lead educational and scientific conference in the field of wheelchair seating & mobility and related technologies. The 33rd ISS expects to host over 1800 people from around the world.
On display at ISS will be the second-generation R-net Joystick Module, which sets new standards in user-interfaces. The module contains a large, hi-resolution, VGA display with stylish graphics, as well as mechanical paddle switches for ease of use, a light sensor to automatically set screen brightness and a loudspeaker to provide clear audible warnings. The CJSM-BT module now includes both IR and Bluetooth connectivity to aid users in the control of their smart devices and home automation systems.
To complete this impressive suite of products, a compact Joystick Module for the VR2 wheelchair control system is also being shown. This module is the smallest available on the market and is primarily targeted at wheelchairs for indoor use, so allowing closer approach to tables and minimizing the risk of collision with doorways.
