WHAT DOES A TRANMISSION CONTROL MODULE DO?

The transmission control unit is an electronic component that collects data, processes it, and interprets the signals to calculate the transmission’s required gear shift. 

The transmission control unit works closely with the engine, transmission fluid temperature sensor, the throttle position sensor, and the turbine speed sensor. The signals sent from these sensors allow the transmission control module to do its job. Without this mechanism, the transmission wouldn’t shift gears properly and cause other vehicle parts to break down and get damaged eventually. 

WHAT ARE THE SYMPTOMS OF A BAD TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE?

Spotting a problem with the transmission controller is essential to ensure it causes no further damage to the vehicle.
